Just for fun! My happy little family :-)

Even if you aren't a professional, take the time to do this one day. Sit your family down in front of the camera and take pics of yourselves. The little camera remotes are 5 bucks on Amazon.com. We didn't dress up (I didn't even do my hair LOL!), we just sat there and had fun. I even let the kids take control of the remote most of the time. We managed to snag some awesome pictures that are even framable :)

Morgan and Adam~*~ENGAGED!!

Let me just start off by saying that this pair are soul mates. I don't use the term lightly. My dad knows them through work, so when he told me he had an engaged couple from work that wanted us to take their pictures, I expected two totally different people. Let's face it, Dad is old. I mean, sorry Dad, but you are. But it's okay, we forgive you. They are MY AGE!! And can I tell you how freaking refreshing it is to meet a couple that actually LIKE each other? I meet so many people that talk so much ridiculous smack about their significant other. They may end up that way one day and make me eat my words, but I sure hope not. They LOVE each other. They are on the same wave length all the time. They are also hilarious. I got to laughing so much at times that I had to turn around and walk away. (i.e. randomly throwing up 'pretend' gang signs at the same time without even blinking). I honestly think it's the most fun I've ever had at a shoot so far. I'm a little sad (and jealous). They are getting married in Vegas, so we won't be shooting their wedding, but I wish them ALL the best and am so thrilled they let us capture this special day for them!!!

Oh my dear poultry!!!

I will admit, I have a creative mind. Sometimes, my creativity goes a bit beyond what it should. This year, we were really on the fence about doing Easter mini-shoots. While we love doing them, they are ALOT of work and bog us down for weeks at a time. Finally, we decided that if we do them, we needed to do something insanely wonderful. We wanted to make them unique. We thought of live bunnies. But, then we thought that bunnies have been done over and over and we needed something better. So.....poultry. Our sweet little fuzzy poultry. Before we put our order in, we did our research, I promise you that. We were prepared for the task. When half of the chickens arrived dead, and two of our ducks died within the first hour of life, we started to rethink our decision. I cried over my little black duck that died...I had seriously considered keeping him because he actually liked me and was beautiful. After that, I thought about ditching the idea altogether. I'm so glad that we didn't. The outcome was absolutely fantastic, and I'm so so so happy with the turnout! We have fantastic clients. We love all of you and are SO thankful for you. Thank you for coming out. Thank you for holding my poultry. Thank you for being kind to my chickens and ducks. Thank you for chasing them down when they ran away at 168 miles per hour. (Them suckers are QUICK!!!) They are thriving in their new homes and getting so big! We hope that you will return in the future. We truly enjoy watching your families and children grow.

Happy Sweet 16 Miss Houston County High ~ Maria Mae Lopez!

We had the pleasure of covering Maria's Sweet 16 birthday party. It was a little bit of 'My Super Sweet 16' here in our home town! It was an awesome party. Truly, it was. The DJ MADE the party (Wesley Longsdorf at Beathouse Productions..check him out!!). The decor was fabulous, the food (Southern Belle Catering) was to die for, and it went off without a hitch. Maria is the full package. She is beautiful inside and out. She's Miss Houston County High school, and just the sweetest girl you will ever meet. Did I mention that her parents are the owners of El J's here in town?? YUM. Check them out, too. LOL!

Little Miss Maddie Boo!!!

My best cousin, Ashley, had her 2nd baby...Madison Elizabeth, this past February. How could I not blog about that? Well, here I am, and doing it. Finally! Maddie is the FIRST girl of this generation on our Mom's side of the family, and we were SO thrilled to finally be able to buy pink!!! Maddie has a big brother named Ethan, and he wubs his sista!! :) I had the pleasure of being able to photograph Maddie's first moments, along with her photos at a few days old and a week old. Maddie doesn't love the pictures, so we decided to break her session up into two days. WELL worth the wait. Take a look at the pictures...a real treat. Hopefully Ashley won't have me drawn and quartered for putting the picture of her and I up! ;-) Love ya, Ash!!!!!! Happy times!! Proud big brother! First week Second week We can take these photos for you as well (hospital AND newborn)! Please contact us with any questions! :) I love babies and will take any opportunity to get to hold and smell them!!! ;-)

I am so behind on the blog! Forgive me?

I am playing catch up tonight on the blog! I'm a loser, I realize it I'm gonna fix it, though!

I'm doped up on cough meds, so they are liable to be interesting!
