Boudoirs and Cupcakes!

I want to start off by saying HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY to my sweet boy Max!!! We had his birthday party yesterday, and it was awesome. Renee from Joyfully Tempting Cakes made his cupcakes (check her out on Facebook!!), and Kathy's Rock provided the bounce house Caterpillar. GREAT times. Nothing like having all the family in the same place at the same time, there's always bound to be a little family drama! Regardless, it was a fun day and Max had a good time. It was the least stressful birthday party we've had so far, so we hope it only gets better from here. His favorite gift is his chain saw from his cousin Leila. He likes to pretend to hack his older brother's limbs off (Thanks Erin and Leila! hahaha).

I also want to express to everyone just how excited we are to be shooting Boudoir Mini-Shoots coming up. We have one more slot available if you are interested in booking. We have booked 16 slots already, we just can't believe it!!!! VERY exciting. Dad is not participating in these (for obvious reasons!). Things have been slow because of the crappy weather, so he's having photo withdrawals..so start booking those spring slots! They are filling up quickly! We are still available to do shoots during the crappy weather time, we have lots of location suggestions and cool props. There is still plenty of time for couples to contact us and get their pictures made, edited, and back to them before Valentine's Day! generations.photography@yahoo.com
That is pretty much all that is going on with us right now. I hate cold weather. HATE it. Flip flop weather could not come fast enough. Cold makes me grouchy.
Also, I have booked my family's Florida vacation for June 11-18 of this year in Panama City Beach, FL. If anyone will be in PC during those times and want beach pictures, let me know and we can definitely get yall booked!! Dad took our family beach pictures last year in Daytona and they are some of my most precious pictures!!!
Hope everyone has a GREAT week! Really looking forward to seeing all the ladies this weekend at the Boudoir Sessions!!!!

We did it! Our first senior shoot!!

We had our very first 2011 Senior photo session yesterday!! We had a returning customer bring her daughter out. Devon Griger is graduating this year...isn't she beautiful?? I'm also a little frustrated, because I dang sure didn't look this good in high school!! I had braces, bad hair, and was really just plain awkward. I didn't look like a supermodel.

I also want to thank Devon for not making me feel like an old lady at 27 years old, she was such a blast to work with. I've had a bit of a complex lately about this getting old thing. I'm inching closer to 30 every day, although I swore off the aging process at 25 years old. My friend Joni and I recently went to a concert together, and we were in the pit with all the young girls and guys. We were front row and these girls were so mad about it that they called us menopausal and all kinds of other really mean stuff. We've been a little sensitive about it since. Joni is a bit of a pit bull in sheep skin..she put those little brats in their place...she is awesome. ANYWAY, back to Devon. She is a drama fanatic (drama as in acting). My sister Lindsay is into it as well, so we brought her along to help. She is our umbrella girl! The girls clicked well, and it made for a fun time. We went out to Pineola again (LOVE that place, can't stress it enough!) and out to Perry where Devon has grown up. We all managed to half way injure ourselves. We kept running into trees that jumped right out in front of us, and Dad hit his head in Perry on a plant basket that is made out of steel apparently. Good times. We are beyond pleased with the results.

Cindy and Devon, we hope you are as happy with these as we are!! Thank you for allowing us to capture these memories!!!

New year, new stuff, and speeding tickets!

Happy 2011 from us to you!

We had an amazing 2010, and cannot believe how busy our little company has been. We thank each and every one of you!! We plan to make this year even better. New equipment (slowly but surely!!), new props, new locations! (An Easter Mini-Shoot is in the planning phase, so keep on the lookout!)

We were very lucky to have two sessions booked on the last day of the year. How cool is that? We decided that a visit to Pineola Farms was in order. Paul and Delise Knight are beyond hospitable and never complain when we ask to crash their beautiful property for a few hours at a time.

It was a day to reconnect, that is for sure!

Meet Butler. The sweetest little boy with laser eyes! His Mom and I have known each other for years...more like 7 years. When she heard that we were going to Pineola, she wanted to get in on it! Butler is turning 5 years old and he is very excited about it. For those of you that haven't had the chance to visit Pineola, you need to make a trip. They have EVERYTHING you could possibly want. They are mostly known for their Cotton Barn, which they hold weddings at just about every weekend of the year. (http://www.thecottonbarn.com/) Most of all, they have chickens. Chickens and roosters. They are my favorite part of visiting, and usually a big hit with the kids. Butler found a little basket of eggs hanging by the chicken coup. They are wooden eggs that are painted white and antiqued a little, so they do look a little real. Being wooden, they have some cracks in them. Butler was convinced that there were baby chickens in there. Everytime we finished taking a picture, he went to see if a baby chicken had come out. EVERY time. He was so worried he was gonna miss it! I think I'm going to go buy him a baby chick and leave him on the door step and run like there's no tomorrow!! :-)

Our other session for the day was with my very long time friend Carolyn (Kay). Kay and I go back to our teens. We have been through pretty much everything together. High school, friends, cars, boys, parties....we even have matching tattoos! She was my absolute favorite person to get into trouble with and we share some of my fondest memories. I was THRILLED when she contacted me to take pictures of her baby girl. This is Eden. She is Carolyn and her husband Randy's miracle baby. She was so obviously worth the wait. This little girl is 6 months old and slam full of spunk already. She is going to give Kay a run for her money!!! I can't wait to watch her grow up, and to see daily Facebook updates on what Eden has done to make her hair turn gray. I hope to have the honor of photographing this awesome family in the future. They are the BEST.

And can I just mention that I got my very first speeding ticket on the way to this shoot? Yes, I did. Yes, I was speeding; Yes, it was technically my fault. The Jeep has way larger than normal tires and the speedometer is off by 10 mph. I will be likely be paying a large utility bill for the city of Fort Valley. I was hoping that Officer C would cut me a break, I pleaded my case about the speedo. He could've made my day much worse, but I was hoping for a warning since it was my first offense (that's in the system). I've come to the conclusion that I'm not one of those girls that can get out of a ticket. I can't cry, winking my eyes apparently makes them think I've been drinking, and I obviously have the face of a trouble maker. It makes my stomach turn to think about calling the courthouse to find out how much I'm going to have to pay. Of course it took all weekend for it to be put in the system, so I've had to wait it out. So...an update on that soon to come.

Tomorrow is a BIG day for us! We have our very first Senior shoot (and I will be going the speed limit)!! Couldn't be more excited, so be expecting another blog post soon!!
